About this puzzle
A coral reef shimmers like a stained-glass window. Tropical fish dart through every panel in red, yellow, and blue. A dolphin leaps through the top pane. A clownfish hides in the corner anemones. The whole scene feels like a window inside an aquarium church. The Reef Stained Glass Wooden Puzzle brings that scene to your table for a calm, rewarding build.
About This Design
This rectangular wooden puzzle shows a tropical reef styled as a stained-glass mosaic. The whole image is divided into small framed panels, each one holding a different ocean creature. A leaping dolphin breaks the top center panel, while a jellyfish drifts in its own pane to the right. Lionfish, angelfish, butterflyfish, clownfish, and a seahorse fill the lower panels, surrounded by red and yellow corals and bright green sea grass. A starfish anchors the bottom-left corner. The colour palette runs from deep ocean blue and turquoise to coral red, marigold yellow, and emerald. Tiny shells and bubbles fill the gaps between panes. When you finish the puzzle, the whole reef glows like sunlight pouring through cathedral glass.
Why People Love the Reef Stained Glass Wooden Puzzle
Ocean lovers, snorkelers, and stained-glass fans all reach for this design. The panel structure gives the build clear anchor points, and the bright tropical colours keep the eye busy. The hidden whimsy pieces are themed to the scene: a tiny seashell, a small bubble, a curled seahorse tail, and a little starfish are tucked between the panes. Hunting them adds a slow second layer to the build. People who finish this one often hang it in a beach-house hallway or a child's bathroom near the tub.
Premium Craftsmanship in Every Piece
The Reef Stained Glass Wooden Puzzle is cut from 4mm basswood plywood, the same warm, light wood we use across our whole range. Basswood holds its shape over years and does not bend or fray the way cardboard does. Each piece is laser-cut, so the edges are crisp and the click between pieces is firm. The art is printed straight onto the wood with UV-cured inks, which means the coral reds and ocean blues stay rich even in a sunny room. The puzzle ships in a sturdy gift box with a printed cover so it doubles as the storage between builds.

A Thoughtful Gift for Ocean And Stained-Glass Fans
This wooden puzzle makes a great gift for the snorkelers on your list, aquarium fans, and anyone who collects stained-glass decor. It suits a birthday for a friend who dives in Belize, a thoughtful pick for a parent who keeps a saltwater tank, or a housewarming gift for a couple settling into a beach house. It hangs beautifully in a bathroom near a window or a sunroom that catches morning light.
The Assembly Experience
The Reef Stained Glass is rated Level 3. The leaping dolphin at the top center and the bright lionfish on the left are natural anchor points to start with. From there each panelled fish gives you a clean colour cluster, and the build moves at a satisfying medium pace. The slow finish is the dense corals and the dark blue water at the bottom, where one teal piece looks much like the next. Most builders finish the Small in one focused sitting, the Medium across a weekend or two, and the Large over several relaxed evenings. A full-colour reference poster ships in the box, which helps when the deep ocean blues all start to blur together.
How to Display or Store It
When the last piece clicks in, slide a thin sheet of card under the panel and lift it as one rectangle. A bright white or driftwood-grey frame suits the stained-glass palette best. It looks at home in a sunroom, a beach-house hallway, or above a tub where the water-themed colours feel right at home.
CRAFTED IN WOOD
Slow down. Piece by piece.
Every Opus Puzzles wooden puzzle is laser-cut from premium basswood. Irregular edges and whimsy pieces make it a richer challenge than cardboard, and four sizes let you pick a quick win or a slower evening's project. When you're finished, it's ready to display, not stashed back in the box.
